A clean and developer-friendly WYSIWYG editor that pairs beautifully with AI. Edited: Nov 03 2025
Summary: I’ve been using Froala to create an AI-assisted text editor prototype, and it’s been a smooth experience overall. The editor handles formatting and styling elegantly, and adding custom commands or toolbars (like an AI “Expand Idea” button) is straightforward. It’s stable, clean, and built for developers who care about performance and UX.
Positive: Froala’s simplicity and clean UI make it a pleasure to embed into custom applications. The documentation is solid, and it integrates smoothly with JavaScript and frameworks. The real strength is how lightweight and customizable it feels; especially when you extend it with AI features like contextual writing.
Negative: The pricing can feel steep for small teams, and initial plugin configuration takes some tweaking. Would love to see more native AI integrations built in.

Optimized and easy to use Text Editor Date: Oct 30 2025
Summary: It definitely feels built for professional use, the documentation and support are top-notch. For use cases like chatbots, customer support panels, or help request modules, the integration is seamless.
If a company values not just the user experience but also how smooth things are for developers, Froala is an easy choice.Positive: What really stood out to me first was how good the documentation is. They even provide live JSFiddle examples to quickly test features, that’s a big win for developers like me who don’t want to spin up a full project just to see something in action.
I also like how well it integrates with so many frameworks. Although I mostly work with ReactJS, and the experience has been smooth and reliable so far.
The level of customizability is another major plus. It’s regularly updated, so I rarely run into compatibility issues. And if I ever need something specific, the plugin system keeps things modular and clean.
I’ve tried editors free editors before, they’re fine, but the outdated documentation with weird fixes that you find on old stackoverflow, made things tougher. Froala, on the other hand, actually feels like a polished, enterprise-grade product.Negative: That said, the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller teams or early-stage projects. Unless a text editor is a core part of your product, you can probably stick with free, open-source options for a while.

Since Froala isn’t open source, you’re dependent on their support team if something breaks which is fine for enterprise setups, but not ideal for smaller projects. -

It saves me time since I don’t have to deal with complicated setup or extra code, and it keeps my projects fast and responsive. The only downside is the pricing, which might be a bit high for smaller projects or solo developers, but the quality and performance make it worth considering if budget allows.
Positive: Froala looks clean, works smoothly, and drops right into my projects without any headaches. No wasting time on tricky setup or extra code. It just works. Plus, since it’s lightweight, my app stays super fast, which is awesome when speed really matters
Negative: Not the most budget-friendly option if you’re working on smaller projects or on your own.
