FreeMILL Description
FreeMILL is a complimentary milling module that operates as part of our commercial CNC software, designed specifically for programming CNC mills and routers. This entirely free CAM software imposes no restrictions regarding time limits, the number of attempts, saving capabilities, or lines of code! Users can create toolpaths where the cutting tool moves along a series of parallel planes to shape their desired geometry. Additionally, it allows the generation of both Roughing and Finishing toolpaths, and provides full simulation capabilities for cutting and material processes. Outputting G-code for your selected CNC milling machine is also part of its features. MecSoft Corporation, founded in 1997, is a pioneering developer of both standalone and integrated CAD/CAM software solutions catering to the subtractive (CNC machining) and additive (3D printing) manufacturing sectors. Headquartered in Irvine, CA, MecSoft is committed to creating easy-to-use, robust, and cost-effective CAD/CAM software solutions that meet the diverse needs of our users. Their dedication to innovation ensures that customers receive top-notch support and continuously updated technology.

So reduced it is pointless Edited: Feb 09 2023
Summary: I don't think this is the sales tool you think it is, as I am now just left annoyed that I had to go through the whole process to trial VisualCAD just to find out how useless FreeMILL is. The program only spent a total of 5 minutes on my system.
Positive: It's free. It will generate a surfacing tool path to make a flat board flat, but a little thinner than before.
Negative: I get it, it's the free version of your offerings, so I don't have huge expectations, but not even having the ability to contour or pocket a hole is so reduced as to make it useless.

Surprisingly complete Edited: Oct 26 2023
Summary: Nice. Using each module separated seems to me really good and logical but some Freecad "similarity" MAKES IT A LITTLE CONFUSING.
Positive: I am surprised with the bunch of possibilities but I think ends up being very expensive just for a CNC wood machine and hobbies with 3d printers.
Negative: I did not like the logical sequence to use it when you test the Trial for FreeMill as I don´t know what is free and what is not. Colors darkening and a dark mode is a must for me as my eyes suffer with the screen lights. Hate that light purple color.
