    Not what I Expected

    Summary: As an IT Professional, I have background and history regarding supporting, writing code and managing an entire IT Department. I use my professional and past experiences in many items within the IT World.

    Given my personal experience as well as my profession, I would say be very careful. Beware of using this software - You will basically be on your own with no support from the company. FlixiCam appears to not even follow their own internal policy.

    SERVICE - this is very crucial for a Tech Firm, like FlixiCam, to have in place. The Service Team does not have to be available 24/7 but it must be in place! Your product, once sold, actually depends on the support team. If FlixiCam has a policy that SERVICE will be back to them within 48 hours, it better happen! It is a promise within FlixiCa's internal policy.

    For me to be sitting her for more than 5 days, since my issue was sent, with no correspondence in any form from FlixiCam, this is 100% unacceptable. As their "Client", I should never be treated this way. This inaction on their part, also crosses FlixiCam's internal policy and what they state on their Website.

    "Clients" are a Firms best resource. They can do good or bad for the Firm, depending on how the client is treated by the Firm and its employees. If the client is treated well, the Firm is considered great. If treated ignored or like they don't mater, this also says how that person thinks/feels about the Firm. Clients can make a huge difference. They are actually part of a Firms sale team.

    Remember "Clients" are asked lots of questions.

    Positive: There are several items that I find very appealing to this application.
    * Easy to install
    * Navigation
    * Interface
    * Easy to navigate

    Negative: Understand that Cons are a huge factor to determine if I will continue to use any product.
    * I've personally had issues in the past with FlixiCam's License/Activation Code. Even with the initial activation, I had to try multiple times. This is something that should never happen.
    * I had to uninstall their software and then reinstall it, the activation failed. This occurred when it was the very same PC with no peripheral changes, which are allowed and it to remain the same PC.
    * I was given by the support team, information that was not even associated with my issue. Beware of the facts not matching the actual situation/issue you are experiencing.
    * I had to reload the OS. This meant that this activated software was removed via the OS installation. Once again Activation issue.
    * With the reload of the OS, I received another Error Message Box stating that a particular item, their application depended upon was not available. I advised them of this as well. Why was it not available? It should have been included and registered within FlixiCam installation package.
    * I sent an email to their support team on a Sunday. (I understand the support team might have been closed as it was Sunday). As of today, the Friday after I sent the message to the support team, I have received no communication from FlixiCam.
    * Support not responding is not a way to run an IT/Software Firm.
    * I'm not sure how they record the PC information. From my personal experience and feelings, they are not taking anything that is specific to the PC itself, such as the PC ID Tag, into their registration. Are they using an IP Address? If so this is know to be a very unwise thing to do or practice.
    * Not adhering to the Firms policy regarding them getting back to you is also very difficult and not acceptable.
    * They do not offer phone support. This is a major issue as I could quickly tell them the issue and it could be resolved very quickly.
    * A Huge Con that I have is, I can drive from my house to their Corporate Headquarters in less than 2 hours. I could then tell them in person what my issue is and they should be able to fix it on the spot. Why can they not do this via email?
    * I have received notification back that my email arrived at the email address provided on their website.

    For me "Support" is critical. Many that work for IT Firms forget, those who purchase the software are not technically not their customer but their "Client"
