FlashStart Description

FlashStart blocks botnets, ransomware, malware, and other threats using global, top-class protection streams. You can block any web content that you find inappropriate by using content filtering. These sites could be dangerous, distracting, and unsavoury. Pro+ includes a secure, downloadable app. All devices are protected by centralized FlashStart protection at the home-office, cafe, and anywhere else. No router dependency. The idea is to optimize the filter to meet your individual needs. This is not an appliance. It is a lightweight application that runs on the existing IT systems of the end user. It should allow a low latency performance of less than 5ms.

    Summary: Since we implemented FlashStart we could relax knowing that our children are protected against threats, malicious software and inappropriate contents, specially considering we are a K12 School.

    Positive: It's easy to configure, works fine and efficiently. This product covers almost every content that we wanted to block.
    Since we've installed FlashStart, our students had never seen bad web content again.

    Summary: I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good filter to keep people off websites that you may not even be aware of yet. It works.

    Positive: This was a very easy setup. Just added to my router and it started working right away. Had a couple websites that it was blocking that we used and adding them to the allow list was quick and simple. Glad I found the website. Much simpler than trying to setup my own filter.

    Negative: Figuring out what package I needed to purchase. It's sold based of the number of devices connected and it took me awhile to figure that out as a school we get a lot of extra devices connected to our network at different times. It would be nice if the filter would of kept a tally of how many devices hit it during my trial.

    Summary: To all IT admins, this is worth checking out. We were looking for a solution for DNS filtering and after numerous disappointments with the more traditional players on the market we found FlashStart and we are satisfied.

    Positive: Tool well-built and simple to use. Possibility of implementation at network level or directly at endpoints. Anycast network with excellent performance in all major locations. Fast and efficient support. Current technology integrated with artificial intelligence where we can really guarantee security. Collection method and attractive prices.

    Negative: So far everything is perfect, as expected. In occasional problems related to small details such as uncategorized local domains, we called support and were quickly attended to.

    Positive: FlashStart is set up in a few minutes and is a high value solution for our customers. Malware Protection works at its best. As a customer, you retrieve reports every week showing nicely how effectively protection works.

    The team from FlashStart works close with its partners and is implementing ideas proposed by them.

    Negative: In five years of using FlashStart the service once was not available for about half an hour.
