Their reports consistently underestimate the amount of shingles needed Date: Jan 10 2025
Summary: First of all, Sarah in their customer service was friendly, professional and tried to help us so kudos to her.
We have been using EagleView to provide us with a shingle report to quote on roofs and have found that the reports consistently underestimate the shingles needed.. We have been ordering their “bid perfect” report. We’re finding that this report consistently under estimates the amount of shingles needed. We had a recent job at a home completed and the basic shingle report (including waste factor) underestimated the shingles needed by 6 squares!
We called EagleView and they told us that had we selected their next step up premium report (costing up to $87), we would have received a much more accurate report. I told them I understood, and could they tell me the shingles that the next step up premium would have yielded for the most recent job that with the bid perfect report under estimating by six squares (including waste factor).
Sarah tried to get the report for us. She reached out to her Sr. representative who said they wouldn’t tell us the shingles that the premium report would have done for the recent job.
I told her that I needed to have documentation that the more expensive report would have quoted the additional six squares in order to continue doing business with them.
She had the Sr. rep escalate and ask their Sr. managers if they would help us as this is a customer service issue and they said no!
So I guess they either don’t have confidence in their reports (I had given them the numbers and address of the project), OR they could care less about their customers.
I’ve already called three of EagleView's competitors and they said they are happy to help and are providing me with numbers for their basic and premium reports for our recent projects to check them. And BONUS, they are all way cheaper than EagleView so I’m really glad this happened.Positive: Sarah in customer service did her best to help us but her Sr. rep and their Sr. manager didn't care.
Negative: Inaccurate reports and to get accurate reports the company wants to upsell you.
