Best platform for daytrading Date: Feb 14 2025
Summary: Overall, this platform is truly under rated for all the things it can do. Perhaps because the traders like me are who are actually using it and don't have time to make YouTube videos showing how we are using it or write reviews online spreading work. My reason is that I don't want to lose my edge by DAS becoming too popular and they change how they are operating to fit the mass.
Positive: - Customizable Hotkey which is critical for executing orders quickly and efficiently. They recently launch advanced hotkey which uses variable and has made my trading experience 100% better.
- Risk control. I can set my own risk control to over trade and to unwind my position at the specific price point which mitigate my risk exposure.
- Real-time market data and multiple choice of venues to send my orders to for really, really fast executions. I have my accounts at Schwab and IB and I have both linked to DAS since the platform is so much better for my type of trading.
- There support is pretty good. I am able to get livechat, telephone and email support and it is not a robot I am talking to. It is very easy to contact them without having to support a ticket.
- I recently started exploring their API as I am looking to combines my strategy with AI or automation it so that I don't have to be watching my accounts when I am on vacation.
- There is really so much cramped into the platform such as Top list of the Nasdaq's most active gainers and losers and their trade signal scanner which will tell you which stocks a good indicator are to get into intraday.Negative: The default desktop is really outdated looking and you do need to spend time changing the look and feel to look more modern. Some people might not think that is con because it can be customized however you want it to look which is pretty good.
