Customer service was wonderful! Date: Jul 15 2022
Summary: Very reasonable with cost, ease of installation, and technical support is very reliable. I appreciate having a real person answer the phone when I call, and how they listen to your problem.
Positive: Reliable, inexpensive, and great call quality. By far, the biggest positive with CP is customer service. If I attempt to contact CP with a problem, CP responds with a native speaker of English within 24 hours, generally far less.
Negative: Can't complain about anything thus far. Any problems I've had has been sorted out.

Experimenting with Community Phone Date: Apr 26 2023
Summary: I have prepaid for one year of service in an attempt to reduce phone expenses. I do like that calls out of area are not charged. I feel I trust my cell phone number more than the Community system.
I have expressed my concerns to Community and am always told that the problems are being worked out, however they seem to remain consistent. At this point I am uncertain as to what I will do in the future regarding phone service. I will say that my home is much more peaceful without the phone constantly ringing with spam calls. I do wish ads for Community would tell folks that plan to port old phone numbers would be informed that they will likely continue to deal with two numbers, the temporary ones assigned as well as the ported number. And perhaps some of those strange calls are to the primary owner of the former temporary number?Positive: I notice that Community Phone service has many great reviews online, however, where I am concerned, the jury is still out. First of all, I ported my old phone number into the Community Phone service, however I have noticed that I still have two phone numbers, one is the temporary number initially assigned, while the second is my old ported number, which I really wanted. Now, the temporary phone number is still active, along with my ported number. During the day, I get many calls and when answered I get a dial tone and not a person on the other line! I am not sure they are calling the temporary number or if it is a spam call that Community is blocking! During a normal day, I may get five or six of these types of calls per day. Also, when I first signed up with Community, I set up voice mail with the temporary number. It appears that cannot be changed. I still have to go into voice mail using the temporary number, which discourages me from using voice mail. Sure, the price is a plus, but I am not sure the drawbacks are put out there for consideration. I did get Panasonic Phones and sometimes I wonder if their specific directions interfere with the Community directions?
Negative: I dislike the fact that I still have a working temporary phone number as well as my old ported number.

Community Phone, not reccomended Date: Mar 16 2024
Summary: Poor. They do not seem to care about their users. The took e very opportunity to add fees and lock you in, without seeming to care about customer service.
Positive: It worked for local calls. It was east to sign up, and the website was okay. The hardware was good and was small.
Negative: My opinions are based on my individual experience and are expressed for the purpose of helping Community Phone improve their services and policies. We used their service for a year. The initial setup was difficult, in that we did not give us a local area code and we had to work with their customer service to get that setup, it took weeks and required additional hardware. We also found that the sales team didn't tell the whole truth about their services. For one thing, they said they offered long-distance calling, but it was very difficult to make long-distance calls. You needed to essentially use a calling card that was for purchase at an additional cost. This was greatly inconvenient and required additional steps for making a long-distance call. Also, when we ended service, we were charged for the equipment, even though we returned it. They stated we did not return its back battery cover of the main unit and it had 2 small scratches on it (which we did not notice when we sent it to them). Prior to their charging us they agreed to let us send them the back cover to avoid the $100 fee. But they then, a few days later they emailed and used the 2 small scratches on the unit to deny the refund even though we already took steps to send them back the missing cover. Overall, I would not do business with them again.
