CCI30 Description
The CCi30 is a rules-based indicator that measures the overall growth, daily, and long-term movement in the blockchain sector. It tracks the 30 largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization, but does not include stablecoins. It is a tool that allows passive investors to take part in this asset class and an industry benchmark for investment professionals. The CCi30 was designed with five main characteristics. It is aiversified and replicable, transparent, provides extensive coverage of the entire sector, as well as the best risk-adjusted performance. The index automatically selects the top 30 cryptocurrencies based on adjusted market capitalization and includes them. All "stable coins", which can be pegged to fiat currencies, are not considered. The adjusted market capitalization must be first calculated to calculate the weights of each cryptocurrency.
