Binance and its community have developed Beacon Chain, a blockchain that implements a vision for a decentralized exchange (DEX), for digital assets. Beacon Chain's core is a highly efficient matching engine built on distributed consensus. It aims to replicate current centralized exchanges' trading efficiency of 1 second. According to a fee schedule, Beacon Chain transactions cost BNB (the native token in Binance ecosystem). Beacon Chain also includes efforts for listing assets from other chains and cryptographic primitives like threshold signatures.
