The logic is simple, but effective. The EA uses breakouts from the Bollinger Bands to send entry and exit signals. The Bollinger Bands are, in our opinion, the best technical indicator ever made. Thank you Mr. John Bollinger! We've tried many indicators and strategies over the years, but the Bollinger Bands has been the best indicator for scalping market volatility. The stop loss level is between 20 and 60 pip. You have the option of using a fixed TP of 4-8 pips or allowing the exit logic to manage the position. The BB indicator is used to determine the exit logic. It will close the trade even if the price is below or above the opposite BB line. This is done by the "BandBreakExit", parameter. It works best between minus one and plus one-two. Below is the backtest result for our forex robot BF Scalper on the following currency pairs EURUSD and USDCAD, EURCHF and USDJPY: GBPCAD, GBPUSD and USDCHF.
The EA has high spread protection - this is crucial, because if you use limit orders as example you can't control this and you will take some trades with 10 or even 20 pips spread - one such trade will erase the average profit from 10 good trade as the best average expectancy of this type of trading is 2-3 pips in the best case.
