    Summary: EC2 is probably the most important service in the AWS suite and rightly so. It is a highly customizable server solution on AWS cloud that lets you spin up a new instance or scale up instantly.

    Positive: High availability.
    Seamless integration with other AWS services.
    GPU instances available for graphically-intensive tasks.
    Lots of customizable options.
    Included in the free tier of AWS.
    Pay as you use pricing model.
    Better pricing than competitors (like Azure).

    Negative: It may take time for new users to set it up as there are lot of options and no 'wizard' setup guide.

    Ability to create custom images.
    Secure & high availability.

    Negative: Although there has been a recent overhaul of the interface, there could be more improvements to make various options and features easier to understand and use.
