Summary: I innocently chose Airtm as my mode of payment on a certain platform that pays to perform some tasks. My account was verified and I could transact up to $25,000 limit.
A few weeks ago I was paid $79 via my Airtm and when I was about to withdraw the money, I couldn't since my account was limited. They asked me to provide several documentation including mobile money statements, bank statements, proof of address, National ID, a 30 seconds video among an endless list of documentation.
Before I could even compile the 8 requirements, I received an email saying that I had been PERMANENTLY banned from using Airtm EVER AGAIN! They also told me to provide an alternative payment email where they could send my $79. I did an email and sent them my friend's Airtm.
The Airtm Support started asking for further requirements, including another 30-seconds video of me holding my ID and saying some weird things in the video just so that they could release the money owed to my friend's Airtm. I found this to be outrageous and unnecessarily because, why ask me to record my face and ID, whereas they permanently banned me from using Airtm Platform?
We had a back-and-forth confrontation on email with the Airtm Support up to a point whereby I have requested them to charge back the $79 to the platform that had paid me(SCALE AI) so I could change my payment method to PAYPAL. Again, this is yet to be done because they still want me to record a video of me saying outrageous things and showing my ID!

HERE IS MY ADVICE TO YOU. NEVER EVER EVER USE AIRTM FOR ANY TRANSACTIONS! They will mess you up especially when you need the money. USE ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT METHODS SUCH AS PAYPAL, PAYONEER etc.

Positive: 1. Fast Peer transactions
2. Connection to several payment methods across the world
3. Option to add 3 other secondary emails

Negative: 1. Account Limitations: Accounts can suddenly be limited without clear justification, preventing users from accessing their funds.

2. Excessive Verification Requirements: The platform may request an overwhelming amount of documentation for verification, which can be burdensome and invasive.

3. Permanent Bans Without Clear Reasoning: Users can be permanently banned without a clear explanation or a direct fault on their part, leaving them without access to their funds.

4. Inflexible Support System: The support system may require users to fulfill additional, sometimes bizarre, requirements even after an account has been banned, complicating fund recovery.

5. Delayed or Inaccessible Funds: Funds can become inaccessible or delayed for long periods, especially when account issues arise, which is critical if the money is urgently needed.

6. Privacy Concerns: Requests for personal videos holding IDs and stating personal information can raise serious privacy concerns and discomfort among users.

7. Inefficient Resolution of Disputes: Disputes or problems with the account may not be resolved efficiently or satisfactorily, leaving users in a difficult position.

8. Alternative Payment Options Required: In case of account issues, users must provide alternative payment options, which can be inconvenient and delay the transfer of funds.

9. Lack of Transparency: The platform’s actions, such as bans and limitations, can appear arbitrary and lack transparency, eroding user trust.

10. Potentially Risky for Significant Transactions: Given the issues of account limitations and bans, using Airtm for significant transactions could pose a risk to the security and accessibility of funds.

Summary: Banks works are legal but Airtm is unauthorized. Regulators should investigate; Central Banks should stop Airtm
who ignore refund > poor people WANT THEIR MONEY BACK. Shame on you making profit and taking excessive fees from first timers who were testing your Fintech platform.

Positive: Bottom line:

1) You cannot withdraw your money.
2) You cannot transfer it.
3) Basically they force you to park your money with them and profit from such unusual deposits.

Negative: I did not like restricting your account after conducting 4 transactions. Instead of conducting client on-boarding from the onset, they freeze your account in the middle. By that time you already deposited a lot of funds (Airtm took excessive fees).
They indirectly steal from the poor. Shame on you! and I will not disclose my identity for fear of reprisal (since you have my personal details!)
They make illegitimate and unauthorized profit from your unused deposit.
They dream of finding those who have deposit but they cannot use it, simply because their owners do not wish to take lengthy verification process.

Summary: Very disappointing, disrespectful and vague. It's obvious they don't care about customers' problems with the platform.

Positive: Nothing so far! I have nothing positive to say, other than I got very excited when Payoneer send a message that they were working together and I signed up, oh wow! What a nightmare.

Negative: I haven't been able to withdraw my funds for over 2 weeks, when I write support, their answers are like from a 4 year old, so disrespectful, I have to depend on a third party cashier that keeps the money and doesn't answer messages, unresolved mediation!

Summary: Register better in WebMoney or Any.Cash.

Positive: N/A.

Negative: Very stupid and incompetent support. The same scam with Paypal, implicated in scammers!

Summary: Am Peter Goshen, have been trading with Airtm for over 3 years. The experience has been great and easy to use.

Positive: Amazon and PayPal very easy to trade once you are registered on the platform and you verify with your international passport. A peer will accept your request within the next 24 hours.

Negative: Other gift cards in Euros, pounds, Amazon Canadian cards are not easy to trade.
