    A Partner, not just a Vendor!!

    Summary: Overall, this is a very good, multi purpose, flexible, reliable application for publishers that is supported by a company that we view as not just a vendor but a partner.

    Positive: The product is very flexible. Allows for many types of transactions including subscriptions, conferences, products, lists, auto delivery, etc. Can support many payment types include international payments like Direct Debit and Sepa. Can support many publishing business processes including tax integrations, warehouse integrations, API integrations, payment processing integrations, etc.

    Negative: It can be complex to setup and Administer. There are typically multiple ways to accomplish the same outcome which can lead to confusion and data complexities.

    Summary: The system leaves no open wishes and ACS system and business knowledge is very good! They provide excellent support and consultancy services, and they are a reliable and trusted partner.

    Positive: High level of flexibility and customization.
    Advanced functionality with a lot of different features for print, digital, bundled and book club subscriptions. Also handles memberships.
    Multi country, multi currency system.
    Good inventory management features.
    Advanced accounting features.

    Negative: The very high degree of flexibility and large number of different parameters allow you to set up the system in perfect alignment with you business. However, these endless possibilities also incur quite some complexities during the implementation process. But once in place the system performs smoothly. In addition, upgrades can be heavy if you do not stay on a regular upgrade path.

New features and modernistic architectural/technical trends emerge regularly and Advantage CS could benefit from a bit of a modernization.     Summary: I absolutely love working on this system every day and would 100% recommend it to any prospective clients.

    Positive: The robustness of the software is amazing! Anything that the business wants to accomplish is always doable with the flexibility and ease of use. The level of professionalism and knowledge they possess makes asking a question quick and painless.

    Negative: Implementation takes a little while when doing a migration from another platform but over the years, that process has become less complex. Onboarding new hires, depending on their role, can take a week+ because of the software being so flexible and having so much functionality.

    Summary: The company does its best to stay on top of how the markets and audiences are changing so they already have solutions as their clients move in that direction. Their employees tend to be long term, so the depth of knowledge available is grand. Our company has gone from book fulfillment, to magazine production and books, to data and information as our primary focuses and have used Advantage for each of those areas with little need for customization.

    Positive: The software is built for flexibility so as your business changes, you continually have options. The company also works closely with the clients to add new functionality as needed and encourages the users to work together in their development requests.

    Negative: The flexibility also adds a level of complexity for managing the system. Due to their regular improvements, if you don't stay on top of keeping your system current, an upgrade can become a larger project than anticipated.
