Basic image editing features without the complexity of the full version

    Date: Jun 30 2021

Summary: I like the software for completing minimal image editing. The layers are the best feature which allow you to save the image in .psd format where you can adjust layers later on if needed.

Positive: I like that you can easily complete simple image editing task with ease. You can do more than the default Paint program. For example you can use layers to add separate elements to your image.

Negative: If you want to do some advanced editing but not too advanced, it is never simple to figure out. For example image clipping to make my image a circle. I have to Google such tasks because it is not easy to figure out on my own.

    Cheaper version of Photoshop

    Date: Jul 31 2022

Summary: Photoshop Elements is a simplified version of Photoshop for casual users. While it has some useful features, it ends up not providing enough for the price to be completely useful.

Positive: - cut down version of Photoshop with less professional features but at a much lower price
    - still has a variety of advanced photo editing features
    - clean UI
    - one time purchase

Negative: - difficult learning curve when using advanced features
    - still expensive when compared to fully featured alternatives like Affinity Photo
