    Highly Recommend Widen for Your DAM Solution

    Summary: I have managed DAM systems for over 10 years now and this is far and away the easiest and most functional system I've used. I love that you can share assets directly through the site rather than downloading to your computer and attaching to a separate email. I also really appreciate that they encourage customer feedback and have even made some changes based on the feedback provided. I would absolutely recommend Widen.

    Positive: I love this product. It's intuitive to use, has great ways to organize assets, they are constantly improving their product, and their customer service is excellent. The chat feature to instantly be connected with someone to help you has been key.

    Negative: The Admin backend experience can be confusing, but fortunately Customer Service is incredibly responsive.

    Widen is fantastic!

    Summary: Widen is a great platform! I wish all platforms I worked with featured this kind of customer support.

    Positive: My e-commerce team was in need of a new asset conversion format. A quick search of asset conversion formats on the Widen Support center told me that the Widen support team needs to set it up on the backend, and that I simply need to email support with a few specific pieces of info. They warn you that it could take up to 10 days, but Cory was awesome and got it done within a few hours! It turned out that we needed to make an adjustment on our end, so Cory was able to quickly make a second profile for us to test. Cory has helped me lots of times-- a total MVP!

    Negative: No complaints. It was a smooth and easy experience!

    RESTORATION!!!

    Summary: PLEASED! SATISFIED! THANKFUL! I have to say, Widen Support is one of THE BEST support teams I've had the pleasure of dealing with. This team is always on point - efficient, very knowledgeable, skilled and professional! I never have to call, because they solve most of my issues through the chat. KUDOS to Tristan, Cory & Matt (I often get those two)! I LOVE the many features Widen offers to make it simple for us to create, upload, store, present...I am still learning your system, and am amazed at the different ways admins can track and share user information. Also, METADATA is everything!!! Thank you for this great software and to your design & tech team.

    Positive: Tristan @ Widen was able to restore my admin account, that I accidentally deleted, when I meant to delete my personal account (setup only so that I could see what external users see, when I grant them access). I am sooo thankful because I was told that usually deleted accounts are not restored, but that he would make an exception. He was very responsive to my questions, and I love how he didn't make promises of anything, but he did deliver! All, but one of my settings, permissions and saved searches were recovered. And, it was not an all day thing either, it took less than 2 hours! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

    Negative: The only thing that was not recovered, were the 12 Spotlights on my dashboard, that I recently created, but I'm hoping it is simple for me to reselect and spotlight them.

    Good option for asset management, easy to use and hassle-free

    Summary: My experience has been incredible. Its an excellent option for managing digital assets internally and organizing workflow. It also offers good storage. Which is very beneficial for us.

    Positive: Its good because it makes life easier to keep you assets organized. I like that the portal is intuitive and works well for our needs.

    Negative: The admin panel is fine but it would be great to change the way assets are divided.

    Flexibility for the administrator to modify the platform according to growth

    Summary: It makes it easy to navigate our company's creative assets. The onboarding and implementation experience was also fantastic. The search function is also quick and easy. It really helped us become self-sufficient.

    Positive: I really liked the communication and weekly updates. It provides a variety of solutions that integrate with management systems. The platform itself is very customizable. What I like most is the depth in image filtering.

    Negative: Many simple tasks are made too complicated by a somewhat confusing interface. Sometimes it can be difficult to upload too many files at once.

    Tool with minimal training and configuration

    Summary: The user-friendly platform ensures that only minimal training is required. They helped us meet all our business needs. We have discovered and used the features in a real-life environment.

    Positive: Workflows are very helpful for managing approvals. I like how you add updated versions. It's very easy to use and intuitive. Digital and printed templates have streamlined our production. I love being able to have a database of images.

    Negative: Search capability is poor for detailed searches, search function could be improved. Needs more customization options.

    Steep familiarisation curve

    Summary: My overall experience is very pleasing. Having worked with a different platform before, I'm pleasantly surprised at how quickly my personal barriers to a different UX have been removed.

    Positive: Our Customer Success Managers (Kaia and her maternity cover, Frankie in particular) and General support have both been very impressive, with rapid response. Being new to Widen and recently taking over management of the platform for Tempur Sealy International, I've found assistance in learning, responsiveness, and solution delivery to be integral to quickly getting me closer to where I need to be.
    UX is fairly intuitive, and doesn't take long to become even more so. It seems continuous improvement is something Widen strive for, and I like being able to submit feature requests which go into a system for potential development.

    Negative: There's nothing I can call out at this stage. There are one or two things planned for release, or that I've suggested and have been submitted for potential development, but other than that there are no significant drawbacks I can justify.

    The Widen Collective is Great, but Could Use a lot of Refining

    Summary: Overall, Widen Collective is one of the best DAM systems currently available. But if user enhancement feedback is ignored or slow to roll out, Widen clients will begin to peel off to DAM providers who offer those needs. Building more tools onto the Collective before making improvements to the mother apps will only frustrate users of those apps.

    Positive: Great support provided by Widen. I appreciate the easy access to chat and emailed support communications.

    Negative: Widen still needs to put a lot more focus and resources into improving the Assets app, Insights app, and Portals app. Enhancements to the UX and UI based on user feedback seems like the best way to advance the DAM system for ease of use and consistency.
