Summary: I like those Advance features & commands in this particular software, it's working with high speed and very good performance, using experience is very good, I also mentioned one thing here the most likely thing is license price is it's affordable. If you want to go to ActCAD please don't think more just go for it.
Positive: I like those Advance features & commands, the license price is affordable as compared to other designing software, having very good in 2D& 3D designing. Flexible technical support.
Negative: I have not observed any. It's good to use for me.

New to ActCAD but Familiar with Other CAD Programs Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: Overall, ActCAD is very well thought out and a cost effective alternative to all the other available CAD programs on the market.
Positive: ActCAD functions and commands are very similar to the top CAD program but comes in at a cost far under the competitor. The interface is so similar that operating the program is second nature after spending years working with the competitor’s software. I tried a different popular software and found I just couldn’t get anything done because the commands were changed too much. From the start, ActCAD ran all the commands I was familiar with, and even has some of the shortcut keys that I thought would not be included. I’m very happy with the savings and familiarity of ActCAD.
Negative: There are a few items that I wish had better tutorial support. 3D production is one of the items. When learning other 3D software, tutorials were available that build a specific model. The goal was clear, and the commands were gone through in a way that made learning them very easy. The ActCAD tutorials just show commands and what they do without actually building a specific model.

Good product at a good price. Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: If you have experience with AutoCAD, you will like this software. Learning time is comparable if you are starting from scratch, but if you have experience -- no problem. Good experience over all. No problems with the software itself, other than the license problem.
Positive: Overall, this is a great application, and one you will not regret purchasing. Works just like you-know-what CAD package, but at an affordable price. All the commands are there and they work pretty much the same. The menus seem to be laid out well. Some things are not where you expect them to be, so it will take a little time (a few uses?) to get comfortable, as with any software package.
I have not tried all the features available, but they are all there and should work as well as the basic ones.Negative: Support. I had a problem transferring the license to another computer and ActCAD was not able to solve the problem after about 3 emails back and forth.

Review from a retired Civil Engineer Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: I looked at several CAD options before leaving my present employment, where the company has used Bentley Products at least for the past 30 years. This program is the only program that I could take my present knowledge base (not that great), and immediately be productive, at least at a level that suits my needs. The Cost of the product is extremely reasonable, and does not require an annual contract. Thanks ActCad!
Positive: ActCad is very intuitive, and the platform is very stable. It performs 100% of the tasks I require of it. Albeit, not always at first, and that's a function of this end user, not the program. I am a retired Civil/Structural Bridge Engineer, and I am not and never have been an accomplished CAD user. I have used others for that function, yet in to my retirement, loosing the proprietary software my firm used, this product does what I need it to for the projects that I need CAD assistance on.
Negative: Sometimes settings don't hold from one session to another (mainly screen settings), but I can easily attribute this to my expectations, and possibly inability to fully understand the program.

ActCAD Analysis Edited: Jul 15 2023
Summary: Overall, the software is a pleasure to use and the cost to acquire the license makes the product a great bargain.
Positive: The software is easy to use and familiar. The progression from previously used cad software to ActCAD was seamless. The product is more than adequate for my needs and the low price exceptional.
Negative: Some of the software processes are a little awkward to use (the "change" command, for example).

A new User of ActCad Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: I have used ActCad for quite some time, first I bought it for my personal use, then I asked the company to give it a shot and buy one license and in general terms it works the way you'd like, there are issues that require more work but overall it's an excellent choice for single users and companies that need to work using CAD and don't want or can't pay the price of AutoCad.
Positive: If you know how to use AutoCad, using ActCad is pretty much the same, the commands, general interface, general layout is almost the same, which is nice. Also there is the price (way cheaper) and the possibility to NOT be slaved for a "plan" which is also nice.
Also the technical support was available whenever I needed and that it another positive feature.Negative: The printing quality requires more love, it's hard to describe it. But when you use the same characteristics to print using ActCad or AutoCad the end product is just different. The quality of the transparencies, the line weight, I don't know, AutoCad is just better.

But that's not a big deal, What I do at least is using ActCad for the hard work and plot using DWGTrueView (It's free) and in that way the result is the best of both worlds.
There are other issues that require to be solved, just to mention a few:
- Text Style Manager: It's unstable, it crashes too many times whenever you play with it.
- Table Manager: Same as above.
- Table Edition and Import: Doesn't work properly.
- Overkill command: Doesn't work with blocks, circles, and pretty much with almost everything.
Finally there are opportunities to improve such as:
- Dynamic blocks: A must.
- Dynamic input: It shows different numbers (by tiny margins however). -

Ambience of ActCAD Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: Good option for CAD users. It is a good software for laptop users/ travelers who are seeking the low cost solution in CAD.
Positive: Key objects and options are quite visible on screen and also helpful for eyes when working on laptop's small screen.
Negative: Lisp support is very useful and easy. It supports shape files and many GIS output formats which is very helpful for GIS users.

Works lightly.
It is stable and has no crashes.
The support service is excellent. They are fast and accurate in solving doubts, which in turn are very few.
The price is competitive and, in my view, fair.Negative: I don't see any technical problems with the program. I really think it's excellent.

Positive: Simply put, it works just fine. If you want to save big money, get ActCad.
Having the ability to call AJ is of great help. And the 15 day free trial, way cool.Negative: Tutorial videos could be better. I have the 2021 Pro package. Most tutorial are on newer releases.

Is ACTCAD good for us Date: Oct 27 2021
Summary: Very good. I am not sure whether point cloud is being supported. I have not tried. it. I do not have much to complain about.
Positive: It has all the features of basic DWG cad software. User Interface is good. Good lisp support. Good API support.
Support from the crew behind ACTCAD was good for us and was very responsive. We did not face crashes in 3d Wire frameWork. Lisp and dotnet works well.
We also built 3d models using APIs. Did good.Negative: No network Lic. Lic transfer is a pain. I would like to see network Licensing implemented. CAD world is moving away from Flexnet Licensing. But for users it is important to have Flexnet licensing.
