Design in 3D with ease Date: Aug 05 2025
Summary: I've been working with the 3D Cloud platform, and overall, it’s a powerful tool for visualizing spaces like kitchens, baths, and closets. The real-time 3D rendering is impressive, and the ability to pick up a design online and continue it in-store is a big plus. It’s especially helpful when paired with AR—seeing products in your actual space makes decision-making a lot easier.
That said, it’s not without its challenges. There’s definitely a learning curve, especially for new users who aren’t tech-savvy, but still far easier and intuitive compared to legacy design softwares like 2020.
Still, for a guided design experience that connects seamlessly with pricing and inventory, it’s a strong platform—and one that adds real value in a retail setting.Positive: Omni channel
Real time 3D visualization
Configurable design templates
Very intuitive for new-bees
Cloud based platform, access from anywhereNegative: Network dependent performance

3D Cloud Analysis Date: Sep 17 2025
Summary: 3D Cloud offers strong visualization capabilities with high-quality renderings, accurate colors, and realistic lighting that make designs easy to communicate and understand. The software does a great job of bringing concepts to life in a polished and professional way, making it especially useful for presentations and client-facing work. However, it can sometimes feel a bit laggy, and the options for customizing wall and floor materials are somewhat limited. Surfaces could also benefit from more refinement to better reflect different textures and finishes. Overall, it’s a powerful tool for visualizing ideas, though there’s room for improvement in speed and material customization.
Positive: 3D Cloud stands out for its high-quality rendering and impressive attention to detail. The accuracy of colors, lighting, and textures creates realistic visualizations that make it easy to see how a design will look in real life. This level of clarity helps streamline presentations, improves client communication, and brings concepts to life in a polished, professional way
Negative: A bit slow in rendering or moving around the spaces that are built. Could be a smidge faster, and also allow for more customization

Simple, for better and for worse Date: Sep 17 2025
Summary: The product, while it works for elementary schemes, feels incomplete and is unable to support our projects at this time. Instead of being equipped to complete a rendering per clients' needs via RoomPlanner's user friendly feature library, the most important capabilities are either lackluster or nonexistent and there does not seem to be improvement on that. Overall, it could just use an overhaul to streamline processes. I struggle to want to reach for it in my day to day, and do so mostly out of necessity. RoomPlanner ends up working as a foundation, from which I then need to Photoshop significantly on top to get close to the clients' needs-- timely and costly and coming out of my personal skillset. It takes far too long and far too much experimentation to be the great asset to our workflow that it should be.
Positive: RoomPlanner is the most straightforward, easy and clean program I have ever used to create a simple, quick interior layout. The rendering quality is immediately realistic and our products look great in it. RoomPlanner is easy for anyone to pick up, get into the motions of and make something beautiful.
Negative: The catalogue offerings need significant work in order to make the program really useable. It often becomes obsolete and unhelpful as the catalogue is incomplete and full of errors, form-making capabilities are nonexistent. Utilizing 3D Cloud's roundabout tactics to show simple things like a book on a table, or a kitchen island, make the rendering near impossible to complete in a timely manner. I often find that the Q&A's and trainings, while nice to showcase examples, are difficult to find purpose in. This is because the answers given are often deflected back to the users in the form of 'I'm sure someone has a shortcut for this.' Instead of underground, undiscovered shortcuts, we would be better served by more working, fundamental features, even elementary ones such as functional, stackable resizable blocks and lighting that turns on. While there may be shortcuts/workarounds for a lot of things we need to do, it takes significant time, and of course: time is money.
