2020 Design Live Reviews

Summary: Overall, I like 2020 and would like to see some easy memory features, for example an appliance package of the same dishwasher, fridge and undermount sink and faucet - kitchen set. The reason is the time for the most used items at my fingertips for quick access.

Positive: I like the program itself; I like the precise measure and functionality of the software. The catalogs, cloud browser, lighting, and custom elevations are great features.

Negative: The updates seem to lose my settings and backgrounds I have set up and it is a bit inconvenient to have to go through the process each time to reset them.
Some updates have slowed down and added steps to the process.
For example: I used to be able to grab a cabinet with a click and move it, now I have to right click to a drop-down menu and choose move to make a simple adjustment. It's tedious and more time consuming.

Summary: Nice to use 20/20 with out it crashing. Again, in previous versions, almost every time you are doing a complex design, it would crash.

Positive: Have not seen a single "hiccup" like on previous versions of 20/20. So far it looks like they have worked out all the bugs!

Negative: Have not seen anything wrong so far, and hopefully in more complex designs, it stays this way.

Negative: It would be nice to have updated cabinet catalogs available automatically for our cabinet lines we are a dealer for.

Summary: I've looked at most competing design software companies and 2020 offers the most features in an easy to use package at a great price that puts them at the top of the list.

Positive: 2020 is a very intuitive software that produces accurate renderings for clients and installers. Most manufacturer catalogs are available for use in design work. Great product for the price.

Negative: Software can become glitchy when lots of detailed graphics are involved.

Summary: My coworker has used this program over 15 years and she thought me how to navigate it and it was very easy for me to do so. Even though I am a beginner in this field.

Positive: The program is very easy to work with even when you are a beginner at designing. I have been a beginner and love it.

Negative: Customer service wait time is long maybe they need to call us back in a faster timing or not have us waiting for that long.

Summary: Still a new user, learn something new everyday and I imagine it will be like that for a while. It is very helpful when calling support they take control of your computer, I watch them work and learn a lot!

Positive: Ease of placing cabinets and changing cabinet color style. Be sure you have the correct specs for your computer - will make your life much easier!

Negative: Adjusting lighting in a room, dragging items just a touch.

Summary: I am pleased with the overall experience of Design Live. It blows my mind how genius this program is!

Positive: It makes the rendering aspect of my job faster so we can prepare presentations quicker because time is money. I love that is so realistic looking. It impresses clients and helps us sell through the job.

Negative: I have an issue with showing scenery outside the windows. I created a wall and put on scenes and when I render they all come out dark as if the photo is taken at night so you can't see the scenery at all. I also find it a challenge when I have high contrasting cabinetry in the same room. The darks become very dark and when I lighten up the dark the light cabinets become a little washed out.

Summary: I love using the software. I have to use it on a daily basis. It is a great help so my customers can visualize their finished product which helps to secure the sale.

Positive: I like using 2020 Design live because I am able to show my customer's their finished product in 3d-2d I am even able to get each design a personal touch other than just adding walls and cabinets and bathroom basics. I can add just about anything you can imagine. It's easy to use and there's always answers online if your stuck or you can even speak with someone online to help you during the business hours. All my cabinet manufacturers use it so I am able to get the prices right there.

Negative: It would be great if there were more countertop companies like UMI/Pompeii as of now I only can use 3 of the companies. But Flooring Companies would definitely be an awesome bonus to have so I can give my customers the complete visual with the entire remodel.

Summary: Overall, it is easy to use, easy to learn, it's very helpful when putting together my projects! I love the rendering views, it is especially helpful when putting together a design!

Positive: I love how user friendly this software is. I can maneuver around very easily. I love the cloud options for adding things to your rendering to make it feel more realistic for the customer.

Negative: I honestly can't think of something I DON'T like. Sometimes my PC doesn't like when I'm in 2020 for too long and it might freeze up on me. Every feature about 2020 itself is excellent!

Summary: 2020 Offers all of the needs for getting a design presentation together for the customer. 10/10!!!!!

Positive: I have used a few different software's for designing kitchen and baths and this is by the best one!!

Negative: The only matter that I have found is the occasional crashing causing you to loose a design. So save often!

Summary: Great overall experience, good product and the 3D renderings sell certain colors and brands for me. The help guide is extremely helpful, and I am often times able to just google an issue I'm having and self-teach through YouTube videos.

Positive: Multiple color options, door styles, granite edge types, flooring details. My clients love the 3D renderings, and it sells jobs for me!
Downloading new catalogs is incredibly easy and I really appreciate that.

Negative: I need an updated natural stone catalog. I feel as if there aren't many options for granite or quartz that are aesthetically pleasing.

Summary: I love 2020 Design Live-- makes my job easier and overall better! I sell a lot more kitchens and baths because of the detail and ease that I can draw.

Positive: Most bugs and glitches have been fixed.
I love the lighting options and settings.
Overall pro-- keep the cloud items coming.

Negative: Still has some errors pop up.
Cloud items are limited.
Sketch up items do not always work and it is difficult to log in to.

Summary: With my years of experience with 2020, I have been pleased with the rendering quality and the pricing/ordering functions. This saves me a lot of time and shows professional results for me and my clients.

Positive: I've used 2020 drafting software for over 12 years and am very pleased with the results and quality. There are seminars and tutorials to walk you through the different functions. The 3D renderings are very helpful to show clients how the plan will feel. I also love that the plans are helpful in my communications with contractors. With so many products and materials to upload, it is also helpful that most of these can be customized for the most accurate renderings. The pricing and ordering functions have streamlined my cabinet ordering process.

Negative: I'm sometimes frustrated with the online catalog in the cloud browser. Many of the items can't be customized since they are the exact product from the manufacturer. It would be helpful if once the item is added to a design, it would become a saved part of it. If I'm out of range for internet connection, those items have issue loading.

Summary: Overall I would say that as I learn things, I am liking it more and more. I like that I can use SW paint selections because it makes it easier when implementing my design into the actual home.

Positive: I like that I can see what I am putting together in 3D view. I also like the decoration items that I am able to use throughout my design.

Negative: I don't like how some things are pretty confusing to figure out.

Summary: To sum up my ideas, this software helps to provide faster estimates and creates the most accurate project result. all other negative issues are caused by catalog manufacturers and catalogs. sometimes vendors are not providing correct 3d shape for their items.

Positive: I can tell you this software is game changing on design industry.
it provides you instant rendering and pricing even with technical drawings.
do you want to spend days to make d designs and another week for blueprints? I design a whole kitchen project with 2020 in an hour.
you don't need to write down item list, it creates for you with full details to send it over your vendor. I don't talk about their excellent customer service. they are so helpful for every section.

Negative: Default render lightning needs to be improved. Technical layout page should have better annotation features.
