AWS Shield, a managed Distributed Delusion of Service (DDoS), protection service, protects applications that run on AWS. AWS Shield provides automatic inline mitigations and detection that ensure application uptime and minimize latency. AWS Support is not required to use AWS Shield to provide DDoS protection.
