Description
Vuetify is a free and open-source component framework for Vue.js that empowers developers to create modern, responsive, and visually cohesive user interfaces guided by Google's Material Design principles. It features an extensive array of pre-designed, reusable UI components including buttons, forms, navigation bars, data tables, and dialogs, all of which are designed to be accessible and responsive on various devices and screen sizes. Additionally, the framework comes equipped with robust functionalities such as dynamic theming, global defaults, application layouts, and a versatile grid system, which enables developers to uphold design uniformity while personalizing the aesthetics of their applications. Moreover, it facilitates quick project initiation through tools like Vite and CLI plugins, allowing developers to set up applications swiftly and prioritize functionality over intricate styling details. By emphasizing user-friendliness, Vuetify reduces the necessity for advanced design expertise, providing meticulously crafted components and an extensive API, thereby fostering a seamless development experience for users at all skill levels. This focus on accessibility and efficiency makes Vuetify an attractive choice for both new and seasoned developers looking to enhance their web application design process.
Description
Xfce serves as a lightweight desktop environment tailored for UNIX-like systems, designed to prioritize speed and minimal resource usage while maintaining an attractive and intuitive interface. To enhance Xfce's visual appeal and coherence, we developed a new set of icons for our core applications, all derived from a unified color palette to promote consistency across the platform. Additionally, we implemented some implicit design guidelines, drawing inspiration from Adwaita's aesthetics. The Settings Manager has been updated with a revamped filter box that can now be permanently concealed, alongside improved search functions that allow for queries in the descriptive 'Comments' section of each dialog's launcher file (commonly known as .desktop). Moreover, we have combined the previous 'Mime Settings' and 'Preferred Applications' dialogs into a single interface, simplifying the process for users to designate default applications for various file types. This consolidation not only streamlines user experience but also reinforces Xfce's commitment to usability and efficiency.
