Description
The BIM process plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of both project management and facility management across various projects. By implementing BIM, users can experience a range of advantages that significantly contribute to overall productivity. One of the most notable benefits of BIM is its ability to minimize rework, such as the need to re-enter data into models or make adjustments on-site. As users gain expertise in using BIM, the potential for productivity improvements becomes even more evident. Smart BIM, a seasoned company in the field, collaborates with geotechnical engineers and soils technicians to offer geotechnical solutions on a global scale. We employ advanced techniques and rigorous testing methods to thoroughly investigate and analyze geotechnical issues while providing tailored recommendations for a wide array of challenges involving groundwater, soil, or rock. Smart BIM Engineering & Consulting is dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions that fuse innovative custom technology with the invaluable technical expertise gained from decades of experience, ensuring that clients receive top-notch guidance and support. This commitment to quality and innovation solidifies our reputation as a leader in the geotechnical engineering sector.
Description
Sol-load is a desktop application designed for geotechnical and structural engineers on the Windows platform, enabling the analysis of axial capacity and load-settlement behavior for individual piles situated in layered soil environments. It effectively computes both compression and uplift capacities by utilizing various methodologies, including API, USACE, and FHWA (Nordlund and Tomlinson), as well as Revised Lambda and several CPT-based approaches such as NGI, ICP, UWA, and Fugro, while providing nominal, ASD, or LRFD design values. The software employs nonlinear load-transfer analysis by generating shaft t-z and tip Q-w curves either from user-supplied soil data or predefined inputs. Additionally, the application addresses various workflows for driven piles and drilled shafts, incorporating factors like negative skin friction and neutral-plane evaluations, along with the analysis of CPT soundings and comparisons to actual pile load-test results. Users can easily export detailed reports in multiple formats, including PDF, Word, and Excel, accommodating both SI and US customary units for versatility. Designed for Windows 10/11, it operates with an online licensing system and allows for up to 30 days of offline functionality. Furthermore, users can take advantage of a complimentary 7-day trial period to explore the application's capabilities before committing to a purchase.
