Description

Scriven specializes in converting confidential audio and video files into word-timed drafts that attribute speakers for easy review. Users have the ability to modify the transcript text and speaker identifiers, rectify any flagged terms, and validate a version with a designated signer and timestamp. The platform also allows for the creation of document drafts based on templates, translations that incorporate glossaries with human verification, and the generation of subtitles ready for SRT or WebVTT export. Its web service processes recordings in designated regions, including the US, EU, Singapore, or Japan. Additionally, desktop applications for Windows and Linux facilitate on-device transcription, translation, editing, and certification, accommodating both offline and air-gapped workflows. The Android application enables users to record audio for subsequent cloud processing and review. Scriven is ideally suited for a variety of contexts, such as legal proceedings, client interactions, healthcare consultations, research activities, meetings, interviews, and personal voice memos. Furthermore, enterprise solutions are available, offering self-hosted deployments tailored for organizations that require processing within their own environments. This flexibility makes Scriven a valuable tool across multiple industries and use cases.

Description

Talat is an intuitive app designed for transcribing meetings and taking notes, available on both macOS and Windows platforms. It effectively captures audio from both the microphone and the system, providing real-time transcription of spoken words, recognizing different speakers, and generating searchable transcripts, summaries, action items, and separate chapters. Users have the ability to modify transcripts, look up previous meetings, import audio or video files, and even dictate text for use in other applications. With integration to calendars, users can prepare for upcoming meetings, and the app can automatically initiate recording for compatible conferencing tools. By default, meetings and their transcripts are processed and saved locally, though users have the option to connect to cloud-based language models, enabling sync features, webhooks, or MCP-compatible assistants that might transfer certain data off the device. Additionally, Talat supports exporting notes in Markdown and PDF formats, making it versatile for various documentation needs. This multifaceted application streamlines the note-taking process and enhances productivity for users who frequently engage in meetings.
