Through collaboration with numerous shops, we have discerned the key factors that contribute to their success. Despite effectively operating an ERP system, CIOvita conducted its production scheduling using custom Excel spreadsheets, which proved inadequate as the company expanded. This method resulted in significant drawbacks, including a lack of visibility and diminished agility. The environment became one of constant change and crisis management. Prior to adopting Just Plan It, Loynds depended on spreadsheets, paper lists, and extensive deliberation to determine delivery timelines and keep their engineering team informed with current work lists, as noted by Richard Loynds, the Managing Director at Loynds.
