The service continuously monitors traffic to establish a baseline profile for each resource, allowing for the near real-time identification of DDoS attacks. To activate this feature, just remember to check the DDoS protection box during the VM creation or IP reservation process. Yandex DDoS Protection effectively filters all traffic directed to the protected IP addresses, even in the absence of an active DDoS attack, and it processes this traffic at OSI Layers 3 and 4.
