Description
Every year, countless designers, developers, and content creators utilize the complimentary WAVE web accessibility evaluation tool, which was introduced by WebAIM in 2001, to assess millions of distinct web pages. Now, with Pope Tech, organizations of all sizes can harness the capabilities of WAVE across their entire digital landscape. By swiftly scanning your website, Pope Tech uncovers accessibility issues, alerts, features, and additional insights. The results provided by Pope Tech mirror the categorization found in WAVE, ensuring clarity and ease of interpretation. In addition to the accessibility metrics, you'll receive straightforward explanations for each problem, insights into their implications for users, and actionable recommendations for resolution. Pope Tech presents information in a format that suits your needs, allowing you to glance at the overall picture via a global dashboard or delve into the particulars of individual pages. Managing multiple websites is a breeze with Pope Tech, as it empowers you to organize your sites into customizable groups. Furthermore, you can assign users to specific groups and develop dashboards tailored to those groups, enhancing collaboration and oversight. This flexibility makes it easier than ever to maintain web accessibility across your entire organization.
Description
The WAVE extension for Chrome and Firefox enables users to assess web content for accessibility concerns directly within their browsers. Since this tool operates solely within the browser environment, it ensures that no data is transmitted to the WAVE server, maintaining complete privacy and security during accessibility assessments. This functionality allows for the evaluation of various types of web pages, including intranet sites, those requiring passwords, and even dynamically generated or sensitive content. Additionally, by analyzing the rendered version of the webpage, the WAVE extension can review locally applied styles and content generated through scripts or AJAX. Users will receive automatic updates for the WAVE extension as they become available, ensuring that they always have the latest features. To initiate a WAVE report, simply click the WAVE icon located to the right of the browser's address bar, and you can easily close the interface by clicking the icon again or refreshing the page. This seamless integration enhances the user experience while promoting accessibility awareness across all web content.
