Description

Inspector is an innovative visual front-end IDE and editor powered by AI, designed to seamlessly connect your browser with your local codebase, enabling you to efficiently build, iterate, debug, and deploy user interfaces by integrating visual editing with intelligent coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex. Rather than switching between tools like Figma, DevTools, and your standard code editor, Inspector allows you to interact with elements directly, reposition them with a simple drag, modify text straight on the webpage, and add comments effortlessly; it then harnesses the capabilities of AI to implement these modifications back into your codebase with a comprehensive understanding of your actual React/HTML/CSS project. Operating locally ensures that your edits are accurate and secure, while also supporting Git workflows, which facilitate repo initialization, branch management, and the ability to commit, push, and create pull requests—all without departing from the visual workspace. Additionally, Inspector provides features such as DOM-aware screenshots, console log capture, and context-specific details for individual elements, enhancing AI comprehension and allowing for a chat-style interface where users can request specific changes. This streamlined approach not only simplifies the development process but also fosters a more intuitive and collaborative environment for developers.

Description

Experience a versatile, cross-platform code editor that accommodates more than 60 programming languages across 9 different platforms. You can build or compile your projects seamlessly, and by simply double-clicking on an error message in the Build window, you can swiftly navigate to the relevant line of code. Each error and warning is clearly indicated with an icon located in the left margin for easy identification. Additionally, the overview bar next to the vertical scrollbar provides a visual representation of errors and warnings in relation to your current scroll position within the document. For a more efficient workflow, you can either drag the scrollbar slider to a marked location or click directly on the mark to bring it into view. SlickEdit also features an integrated debugging tool that serves as a user-friendly interface for a variety of debuggers. You can set breakpoints, step through code, inspect the stack, and examine variables and members, offering all the essential functionalities you would anticipate from a debugging tool. Furthermore, SlickEdit facilitates debugging for numerous languages, including GNU C/C++, Java, WinDbg, Clang C/C++ LLDB, Google Go, Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, XCode, Scala, C# with Mono, Visual Basic with Mono, and Android JVM/NDK, making it a comprehensive solution for diverse development needs. This extensive support makes SlickEdit an invaluable tool for developers working in multiple environments.
