Description

Mageia is an operating system based on GNU/Linux and adheres to the principles of Free Software. This initiative is driven by a community project that relies on a nonprofit organization comprised of elected contributors. In addition to providing a secure, stable, and sustainable computing environment, Mageia aims to foster and uphold a reputable and recognized community in the realm of free software. As part of the GNU/Linux family, Mageia can be installed either as the primary operating system on a computer or as an alternative alongside one or more existing systems through dual booting. This community-driven project is backed by the nonprofit organization Mageia.Org, which consists of a team of elected contributors dedicated to its development. Mageia caters to a diverse range of users, from newcomers exploring GNU/Linux for the first time to seasoned developers and system administrators.
