Description
Container images are made up of various layers and software packages that can be at risk of vulnerabilities, which may jeopardize the safety of both containers and applications. These security risks necessitate proactive measures, and Docker Scout serves as an effective tool to bolster the security of your software supply chain. By examining your images, Docker Scout creates a detailed inventory of the components, referred to as a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM). This SBOM is then compared against a constantly updated database of vulnerabilities to identify potential security flaws. Operating as an independent service, Docker Scout can be accessed through Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, the Docker CLI, and the Docker Scout Dashboard. Furthermore, it supports integrations with external systems, including container registries and CI platforms. Take the opportunity to uncover and analyze the structure of your images, ensuring that your artifacts conform to the best practices of the supply chain. By leveraging Docker Scout, you can maintain a robust defense against emerging threats in your software environment.
Description
PDF Scout streamlines the verification process for your PDF documents by quickly pinpointing common issues as soon as they are uploaded to our customer self-service portal, goPost, and e-PlanREVIEW. If any problems are detected with the PDF, the system will refuse to accept the file. During the plan review application process, PDFs are evaluated in real-time using the PDF Scout inspector, which highlights issues that need user intervention and promptly informs the applicant, allowing them to rectify any errors prior to submission. Files that fail the PDF Scout inspection are not permitted to move forward in the plan review process. Scout also verifies whether a PDF is password-protected, as such files cannot be opened and will be automatically rejected. Additionally, it checks for invalid PDF types, like PDF portfolios, or any corrupt files, ensuring only valid submissions are allowed. The system can handle files as large as 400 MB, while any submissions exceeding this limit will be turned away. Ultimately, PDF Scout enhances the efficiency of document submission, allowing for a smoother application process.
