Description
The Climate Action Engine (CAE), a comprehensive emissions data platform created by Rocky Mountain Institute in collaboration with Spherical Analytics, integrates emissions data with various oil and gas metrics, including location, ownership, and financial performance, all within a unified data and analytics framework. This innovative platform is expertly crafted to deliver undeniable, real-time insights that address the industry's urgent requirement to make emissions reduction efforts practical and effective. As a specialized data and analytics solution, the CAE is tailored to meet the oil and gas sector's demands for emissions reduction strategies that align with established Business Intelligence practices and tools. Additionally, it empowers operators to focus on emissions reduction initiatives that hold the greatest potential for decreasing methane emissions significantly while promoting sustainability across the industry. Ultimately, the CAE represents a pivotal advancement in the quest for effective environmental stewardship in the oil and gas sector.
Description
Emission Master software is designed to compute air emissions generated from both fixed roof and floating roof storage tank activities, allowing for daily, monthly, quarterly, or yearly assessments while also facilitating the evaluation of fugitive emissions. The calculations performed by Emission Master Tanks adhere to the most recent methodologies outlined in EPA Chapter 7.1, as the EPA has ceased support for the EPA Tanks software. The latest version, 8.4.3, which was released on January 17, 2020, introduces new features such as a wider array of tank colors, updated reflective conditions, and enhanced climate data, and now considers tank insulation as a factor influencing working and breathing losses, alongside significant revisions to the vapor space volume calculations for horizontal tanks. Additionally, we have improved the detailed calculation report to assist in spot check validations. Emissions can be assessed for both monthly and yearly intervals, and various factors like climate, fittings, seals, and deck seams can be directly imported into Emission Master from the EPA Tanks 4 databases. Furthermore, users can seamlessly import chemical and mixture data from these EPA Tanks databases for a one-time service fee, making the process more efficient and user-friendly. This comprehensive approach ensures that users have the necessary tools to accurately assess emissions while adhering to current regulatory standards.
