Roadbase serves as an AI-powered planning platform that prioritizes quote creation for creative freelancers and agencies. By pasting a project brief or uploading a PDF, users can generate an editable initial draft that includes a project overview, phases, tasks, assigned roles, estimated hours, timelines, assumptions, and the rationale behind the estimates. Teams then have the opportunity to review and modify this draft, incorporating their own role costs, billable rates, overhead, direct expenses, contingency funds, and desired profit margins to formulate the final quote.
The visual timeline feature ensures that all aspects such as tasks, timelines, roles, hours, and pricing are consolidated within the same project structure. Once the plan is finalized, users can export the reviewed work breakdown, roadmap, and cost summary into a proposal PDF. Following approval, they can transition the project into a user-friendly Kanban workspace, where tasks can be assigned, comments can be added, time can be tracked by both project and task, and actual hours can be compared against the initial estimates.
