Description
Thoa is an innovative bioinformatics platform designed for the cloud that addresses six critical challenges faced by researchers on a daily basis: conflicts related to environment and dependencies, management of workflows, ensuring reproducibility, scaling computing resources, facilitating collaboration, and enabling data sharing.
Users can execute Nextflow and Snakemake workflows on a managed cloud infrastructure, boasting up to 12TB of RAM, without requiring any DevOps setup. Additionally, Thoa features an AI-assisted debugging tool that swiftly addresses environment-related problems in real-time, preventing pipelines from failing after hours of execution. Moreover, each run meticulously logs its complete execution context, including data, software versions, environmental settings, and machine configurations for future reference.
Collaborators can easily access and share comprehensive analyses with just a single click, allowing recipients to view and re-execute results without the necessity of creating an account or duplicating the infrastructure. The platform provides robust support for various technologies, including Docker, Conda, Singularity, Python, and R, making it a versatile tool for researchers. In this way, Thoa streamlines the research workflow and enhances collaboration among scientists.
