AWS App Mesh is a service mesh designed to enhance application-level networking, enabling seamless communication among your services across diverse computing environments. Description
Fortem serves as a management framework for teams operating more than ten AWS ECS Fargate environments. By scheduling environments to be inactive during nights and weekends, organizations can achieve a significant reduction in compute costs for development and staging by as much as 60-70%, all without the need for any code modifications. The platform provides comprehensive visibility across the fleet, allowing users to view the status, cost, owner, and last deployment of each environment on a single dashboard. Developers are granted self-service capabilities, including options to restart, redeploy, and access logs, all governed by role-based access control, eliminating the necessity for direct access to the AWS console. Detailed cost attribution for each environment offers insights into the specific expenses incurred, while AI-driven diagnostics analyze CloudWatch data and suggest solutions in approximately eight seconds. Seamlessly compatible with existing Terraform configurations, Fortem requires no extensive rewrites. Additionally, users can uninstall the service in as little as two minutes, making it a flexible and efficient tool for managing cloud resources. Moreover, the ease of use and quick deployment of Fortem contribute to its value, allowing teams to focus more on development and less on infrastructure management.
