Description

AMD Developer Cloud grants immediate access to high-performance AMD Instinct MI300X GPUs for developers and open-source contributors through a convenient cloud-based interface, featuring a ready-to-use environment that includes Docker containers and Jupyter notebooks, eliminating the need for any local setup. Developers can execute various workloads such as AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing on configurations tailored to their needs, whether opting for a smaller setup with 1 GPU providing 192 GB of memory and 20 vCPUs or a larger setup that includes 8 GPUs with a staggering 1536 GB of GPU memory and 160 vCPUs. The platform operates on a pay-as-you-go model linked to a payment method and offers initial complimentary hours, like 25 hours for qualifying developers, to facilitate hardware prototyping. Importantly, users maintain complete ownership of their projects, allowing them to upload code, data, and software freely without relinquishing any rights. Furthermore, this seamless access empowers developers to innovate rapidly and explore new possibilities in their respective fields.

Description

boxd offers developers, engineering teams, and AI-agent applications access to persistent Linux virtual machines. Each virtual machine operates with its own kernel and features such as SSH access, a public HTTPS address, and persistent disk storage, allowing for the execution of software requiring a comprehensive computing environment, including Docker, systemd, long-running agents, and development servers, all within an isolated setup. Users have the ability to fork a live machine along with its memory and disk state, enabling them to experiment with alternative approaches without having to rebuild the entire environment; additionally, idle machines can enter a hibernation mode while preserving their disk state. Management of these machines is facilitated through SSH, a command-line interface, an API, and SDKs in Python and TypeScript. Organizations can easily integrate with platforms like GitHub, Linear, and Slack for enhanced collaboration. boxd can be operated as a managed cloud service located in Frankfurt, or it can be self-hosted on Linux infrastructure that supports KVM, with free deployment options available for configurations up to 16 vCPUs. Practical applications for boxd include cloud development environments, AI-agent test beds, background coding assistants, and staging environments for previews. This versatility makes it an excellent solution for teams looking to optimize their development workflows.
