Kroscloud is a versatile cloud platform that allows users to transform their spatial content into engaging, georeferenced guides without any coding skills needed. Users can upload a photogrammetry 3D model or an incredibly detailed 2D map of up to 1000 megapixels, which will be served as fast tiles, to create their guides seamlessly.
The platform enables the addition of various points of interest, complete with text, audio narration, images, YouTube videos, or panoramic jumps for an enriched experience. By anchoring scenes to GPS, visitors can track their live location while exploring the site, and they can also measure distances, areas, and elevation profiles easily. Furthermore, users can switch between layers to juxtapose a ruin with its historical reconstruction or to alternate between different map variants.
Kroscloud features two parallel workflows for 3D scenes and 2D maps, both utilizing the same toolkit for consistency and ease of use. Guides can be shared via a link or embedded like a video, making them accessible across all devices. This platform is particularly well-suited for various applications, including heritage and museums, surveying, education, real estate, campus and venue maps, and tourism, enhancing the interaction between visitors and their environments. Additionally, Kroscloud empowers users to create a more immersive experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the locations they are exploring.
