It's designed to provide developers and businesses with a cost-effective and reliable way to route end users to Internet services. It does this by translating names into numeric IP addresses such as 192.0.2.1, which computers use to connect to each another. Amazon Route 53 is also fully compatible with IPv6. Amazon Route 53 connects user requests to AWS infrastructure, such as Amazon EC2 instances or Elastic Load Balance load balancers. It can also be used for routing users to infrastructure outside AWS.
