Submission + - Apple sues over App Store trademark (

tekgoblin writes: "Apple is suing over the use of Apple's trademarked App Store name in their mobile software developer program. Apple filed the suit back on March 18th which stated the trademark infringement and unfair competition which Apple felt was happening. Apple's statement in the suit reads:

“Amazon has begun improperly using Apple’s App Store mark in connection with Amazon’s mobile software developer program,” Apple also said “We’ve asked Amazon not to copy the App Store name because it will confuse and mislead customers,” said Kristin Huguet, a spokeswoman for Apple.

If you have downloaded Firefox 4 RC2 (released last Friday), you already run the final code, according to Mozilla. The official launch of the new browser is still scheduled for tomorrow, March 22.

angry tapir writes "After weeks of a hung parliament following the Australian federal election, the incumbent Labor Party has garnered enough support among independent MPs to form a minority government. Broadband was central to clinching the independents' support. Labor's victory means the $43 billion National Broadband Network will push ahead. The policy has generally been popular among ISPs and telcos — though some rebel operators preferred a policy that emphasized wireless technologies, similar to the proposals put forward by Labor's opponents. The primarily fiber-based NBN is set to offer Australians 1Gbps broadband."
