Submission + - HBO Decides It Still Isn't Difficult Enough To Watch HBO Shows (arstechnica.com)

stoolpigeon writes: "DirecTV users with some older dvrs recently discovered they had lost the ability to watch HBO even though they had payed for it. The culprit? DRM. The solution? Buy new hardware or switch from HDMI to composite (which still means not being able to view all content and of course a loss in quality)."
