perry writes: John Graham-Cumming has started a project to build Babbage's Analytical Engine. Babbage's Difference Engine, which is not Turing-equivalent, was successfully constructed by the Science Museum in London. This project would be substantially more ambitious, and would result in a fully Turing-equivalent mechanical computer. Contributions may be made via Pledgebank.
