An anonymous reader writes: The Dish people are changing up their game. Sitting in for the receptionist at my company, in one day alone I've received at least two calls about warranty coverage expiration, and seven or eight about Dish Network. Most disturbing was the newest message, "We are scheduled to install your Dish system, and need to verify delivery information. Press 1 now." The warranty calls are just as bad, claiming "Your vehicle warranty will expire tomorrow unless you press 1 now!". I usually press 1 and toy with them, in the latest case the company was Warrantech. Surely there are legal ways to kill off these kind of predatory schemes?
