Submission + - Sub second Linux boot to OpenCV on a Gumstix Platform (embedded-bits.co.uk)

An anonymous reader writes: This is a 1 second cold Linux boot to an OpenCV application that can count yellow balls and display its output on a HDMI display. It's based on a Gumstix (ARM Cortex-A9). The link provides a lot of detail in describing how the it was achieved. They appear to have also done 1 second boots for Qt and an OMAP platform.
