Journal Journal: fresh meat

I am a newfer to Linux. I just installed an older Red Hat (6.1) with Linux x86 ver.6

It has defaulted to 1280 x 1024 for the size of the desktop, and after exploring for several hurs, I am unable to fine the profile entry that allows me to change it to a smaller size. (f'r instance, 1024 x 768 x 16 bit)

perhaps a re-install would do the trick
