Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Best Way to Make Large Companies Change Security Practices (amazon.com)

alphaamanitin writes: I just received a email from Amazon, and thought I would check out the DKIM:DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/simple; t=1355245578. Turns out despite the big security whole and spoofing that was widely published on in Wired (sorry, don't know how to hyper link), Amazon is still using a 256 key. What are the best ways to get Amazon and other large companies to shape up? It would seem a relatively simple fix to replace it with a larger, more robust key.

Submission + - Ask Slashdot: Open Source "Google Earth" to manage GPS points

alphaamanitin writes: I am a biologist who makes collections every year. I am trying to find the best open source solution to track the GPS location of my collections and map it onto something similar to Google Earth, but open source. I tried Marble, but didn't like it for purpose of mapping my GPS points in a clear manner.
