Submission + - Apple's Siri Cracked (techcrunch.com)

CmdrPony writes: The iPhone design/development house Applidium claims to have cracked open Siri and taken a look at its inner workings. They used a fake Siri server to catch all the HTTPS requests and forwarded their own to Siri servers. After a while, they managed to get a response using their laptop, and it included what Siri had heard and how sure it was about each word. All requests made to Siri still need an unique ID that is embedded in iPhone 4S phones, but theorically Siri could be used on any device, including Android phones and computers.
