Question: Cheapest health insurance

  • This changes from state to state and individual to individual so much that the *best* way to figure this out is to go to your state exchange.

    If it is working, that is. Mine isn't. Near as I can tell from my state website, I need to do my taxes for the year *before* I can make any intelligent decisions other than "just pay the damn tax, it's cheaper for your family than the cheapest catastrophic plan". No subsidies in my income bracket, likely, unless I made $20,000 less than I think I did.

      I might just do the catastrophic with the highest possible dedeuctible.

      I only worked in December this year, and only for three weeks (auto companies give off at the end of the year). So, my income is pretty low.
