Got new ugly twenty-dollar bills.

  • I can't understand why we need to have the ugliest, crappiest looking money in the world. After I came back from Australia last year, I could really tell that we are behind the time where the look of money is concerned. Their bills are awesome. Each denomination is a slightly different lenght based on value. So a $5 is a little shorter (longways) than a $10 and so on... The difference is about a quarter inch (1 cm or so) per bill. The bills are also made out of a plastic/paper hybrid and therefore mor

      • I was fishing through my wallet at lunch today and had Danish kroner, Swiss franks, British pounds, some German 'branded' euro, and a bit of US paper currency. To be honest, I'm glad the US is starting to add a wee bit of colour to the currency - would not mind a bit more differential in the size as well. With everything so close, mix ups (or cons) can happen way to easy.
