Journal Chacham's Journal: SQL Server: T-SQL Challenge: Grouped String Concatenation 2

Adam Mechanic has posted a T-SQL challenge in his blog, for GROUPed string concatenation.

Even if i don't have the winning entry, the efforts are a learning experience, and the results ought to be enlightening. As for excitement over the prize, i'd rather waste my time thinking about the current Mega Millions jackpot, which is over $200M. The after tax lump sum amount ought to be nearly 75 million, which is amusing to dream about.

  • I don't think of string concatenation as something that's more properly the purview of the DBMS instead of the app. But that contest is just for fun.

      It really isn't that hard.

A friend of mine used to have moof.au on his computer, and X10 for his speakers. When i wanted to get his attention, so he's answer the phone or something, i would login, turn on his speakers, and moof a lot. Well, he was root, and didn't really take the ability away...
