That is a low number you go there old timer. Heck I think I always had a login so that may have happened sooner.
How many userIDs do you have? The one you are using is too high to be from "day one".
BTW - only one of the sites mentioned in your post is a search engine. The other two are not search engines.

As I understand it Google's side of the story is they said something because Acer is a member of the Open Handset Alliance. Amazon is not a member of the AHA therefore Google hasn't said a thing to them.

I like it alot. I had to disable the touchpad but I always do that on laptops too. I have the silverish/bluish one so I'm not sure it comes in a true blue color.
I just got the latest Transformer (Infinity). The optional keyboard w/ battery is definitely a great form factor. I believe Lenovo has one coming out and Asus has announced at least one Win8 version.

You seem to think the university systems were specifically created to educate people in a chosen field so they may join the workforce.
There was a time not so long ago when people went to college/university to become well rounded in many areas so then they could determine what their interests were.
What about sharing their rejected app with friends and family?
Metro on the desktop is fine if it is run as an app and has a dedicated monitor.
Typical MS coming out with something totally new is that it always feels half baked. There is a reason why many people believe MS doesn't get things right until (at least) the third version.
Metro on the phones and tablets is another discussion entirely.
