You're thinking of anti-matter drives. The concepts are well understood and doable except we can't produce enough antimatter to do anything useful. Of course, when, not if, we discover a method of creating antimatter in more abundant quantities, it will not only change the way we travel in space ,but how we'll live on Earth.

Typical geek, thinking there is too much white space, and wanting to fill every empty space with some stupid widget or control. White space is good. Now if your beef is with the contrast, maybe version 3.1 will include a reversed chromatic view.

Personally, I like this redesign a lot. The old design seemed so cluttered.

Apple Releases IOS 4.3 Beta To Developers 101

m2pc writes "Apple has just released iOS 4.3 beta to developers. New features include: Developer access to AirPlay API, Four and Five-finger gestures, and the return of the hardware orientation lock for iPad, a feature that upset many when Apple suddenly removed this feature with no software option to re-enable it. Also interesting to note is the lack of mention of the Mobile Hotspot feature rumored to be included in 4.3 for all iOS devices by the Verizon announcement yesterday."

Kentucky Announces Creationism Theme Park Screenshot-sm 648

riverat1 writes "On December first, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear announced that a creationism theme park is expected to open in 2014. Park developers are seeking state tourism development incentives and could receive up to $37.5 million over a 10-year period. Gov. Steve Beshear said he does not believe the incentives would violate the principle of church-state separation because the 14-year-old tax incentives law wasn’t approved for the purpose of benefiting the Ark Encounter. The park will have a 500 foot replica of the Ark with live animals on it and a Tower of Babel explaining how races and languages developed. The park will be turned over to Answers in Genesis after it is built. They are a non-profit organization which may allow them to discriminate in hiring on the basis of religion."
