Submission + - Indiana: Show your papers, citizen, or stay out of (in.gov)

qqtortqq writes: "SecureID is here to help you, citizen! In Indiana, after January 1, 2010, Indiana/US citizens must now prove they are citizens of the USA, citizens of Indiana, here in the USA legally, and have a social security number (or cannot get one) in order to get a "SecureID" enhanced license in the state of Indiana. Don't wish to, or can't participate by showing one document proving your identity; and one document proving your Social Security number; and one document proving your lawful status in the United States; and two documents proving your Indiana residency? Then "federal officials may restrict customers from boarding aircraft or entering a federal facility in the future," according to the Indiana BMV."

While I don't know about the sauerbraten community, I have hung out with the dev team of Blood Frontier for a long time not only for the up to date info on the game, but for the comradery and great chats we have. There is a real community surrounding this game, and I feel that your statement couldn't be further from the truth.

Submission + - Blood Frontier "Beta 1" Officially Release (bloodfrontier.com) 1

qreeves writes: "Here it is, for the whole world to try out — the official Blood Frontier 'Beta 1' release. Compared to our last release, 'Alpha 2', the game has taken a dramatic turn from the slow and clunky 'thirdperson' shooter it was. Based on feedback from the community (which we take very seriously, and no idea is too big or too small) we refined, polished, and extended our gameplay to what we consider to be the most fun Free and Open Source First Person Shooter out there on the net. Many may think that it does not compare visually with some of the other shooters out there, but what we lack in art we more than make up for in gameplay. So, give it a try, play against our new and improved Artificial Intelligence, which is giving even the most seasoned of players a run for their money now; or hop on our master server at play.bloodfrontier.com where there is usually someone either playing, or watching from our IRC channel in #bloodfrontier on irc.freenode.net (yes that is right, IRC chat support built right in!). U.Maine Law Clinic Is First To Fight RIAA 129

NewYorkCountryLawyer writes "'A student law clinic is about to cause a revolution' says p2pnet. For the first time in the history of the RIAA's ex parte litigation campaign against college students, a university law school's legal aid clinic has taken up the fight against the RIAA in defense of the university's students. Student attorneys at the University of Maine School of Law's Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, under the supervision of law school prof Deirdre M. Smith, have moved to dismiss the RIAA's complaint in a Portland, Maine, case, Arista v. Does 1-27, on behalf of two University of Maine undergrads. Their recently filed reply brief (PDF) points to the US Supreme Court decision in Bell Atlantic v. Twombly, and the subsequent California decision following Twombly, Interscope v. Rodriguez, which dismissed the RIAA's 'making available' complaint as mere 'conclusory,' 'boilerplate' 'speculation.'"
