Journal Journal: The Wilderness Downtown

A friend just forwarded http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/ to me and advised me to check it out.....wow...I was seriously impressed with the use of HTML5, javascript, the timing between windows, sync with the song, the use of past life addresses to make the experience "yours"...if you have a few minutes I think its worth more than a quick look...I used Chrome to view, you most likely will have to also..

if this is indicative of what native HTML5 can produce....like always in this field, we're in for some change!

The Gimp

Journal Journal: Bigfoot Found!! No Really! In Georgia (U.S. State) 6

Press Conference today at 12-1pm (assuming PST, in California), more info here: http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/

Can't wait to see the DNA test results and photos :p....
but what the hell, in Georgia?
What a fun Friday! :)
Here's some stats on ol' Sasquatch:
  • The creature is seven feet seven inches tall.
  • It weighs over five hundred pounds.
  • The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.
  • It is male.
  • It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.
  • It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot.
  • The feet are flat and similar to human feet.
  • Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel.
  • From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide.
  • The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.)
  • The teeth are more human-like than ape-like.
  • DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the press conference on Friday, August 15th.
  • In life, it considered Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" one of the most completely satisfying records of all time. Followed closely by Meatloaf's classic "Bat out of Hell"
iMac

Journal Journal: Week 1 of iMac-Conversion 6

Well its been one week since we took the plunge and bought an iMac as opposed to upgrading and going with Vista. We've been thinking about Macs for a long time now, we've used them in the past (errr... System 7 era ), and my Brother-in-law is a long time Mac-head....so the end result after one week.....

Enthusiastically pleased and just *impressed* with the OS, the UI, the performance, the apps, really everything, this stuff is slick and solid. I told my Brother-in-Law he should have pushed harder, definitely one of those "shoulda done this sooner" events.

As corny, and as much as it sounds like marketing blurbs....you feel like you have a tool that enables you as opposed to something you have to manage all the time.

Glad we took the plunge!

How old is the Grand Canyon? Mum's the word since you don't want to offend creationists.

Recent Etching
How they do it
Makes me wish I had a spare $15 grand to get a epilog mini, if you were in an "Apple Hot Bed" you could probably re-coup that cost pretty quick just doing these etchings......hmm.... :p
